Bob Ryan joined the Brophy faculty in 2000 to teach mathematics and he worked in the Christian Service Office, now known as the Office of Faith and Justice. While at Brophy he has taught Religion, chaired the Religion Department and was Assistant Principal for Ministry. He currently teaches an elective for juniors and seniors, Profiles of Vocation: Industry and Entrepreneurialism.

He was named Principal in November 2006 and served in that role through June 2023. The Brophy Board of Trustees appointed him President of Brophy effective July 1, 2023.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame, a Masters in Education from ASU, and a Master of Arts in Catholic School Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
