“Brophy and Loyola Academy have changed my life completely. As a Loyola scholar, I would look at the collegiate banners hung in the student union and imagine myself as a student at Stanford or Notre Dame. Today, I walk the Tempe campus of Arizona State University as a Sun Devil. Looking back, I know that my time at Brophy and Loyola helped lay the foundation for the man I want to be—a man for and with others. After college, I plan to immerse myself in the legislative process and advocate for programs and policies that elevate my community. I am incredibly thankful for the love and support I have received from the place I was so happy to call home for seven years.”

"Quite simply, the Brophy Community Foundation is a game changer. The Jesuits stress the need for all of us to be bridge builders in a world where people are becoming increasingly isolated and insular. Brophy Community Foundation enables Brophy to be a place where bridges are built on a daily basis. In class, on the field, on retreats, and in every aspect of campus life, students from every corner of the Valley and very diverse backgrounds build bridges of understanding and relationship.”

"As a first-generation college student, I am beyond grateful for the opportunity that I was given to be part of the Boys Hope Girls Hope and Xavier College Preparatory communities. Throughout my experience at BHGH and Xavier, I have become a better student. I’ve been challenged academically and mentally and it has shaped me into the person that I am today. Without organizations like Brophy Community Foundation providing tuition assistance, motivated students, like myself, would not have the resources to succeed or achieve their full potential on their own. The dedication that Brophy Community Foundation has toward the education of students across Arizona is incredible, and it inspires me to give back to my own community. Thank you, Brophy Community Foundation!"

"I was born in Congo but spent the majority of my life living in a refugee camp with my family in Uganda. Our living conditions were extremely hard and education was not something my family could always afford. As time went on, I started to lose all hope for a brighter future. But in October of 2018, my family and I moved to the United States. My life completely changed when I became part of the Boys Hope Girls Hope program and started attending Bourgade Catholic High School with tuition assistance from Brophy Community Foundation. I started dreaming again. I feel welcomed, loved and cared for. I play soccer, attend clubs and have made so many great friends. This past year, I made Honor Roll and received an invitation to the National Honor Society. Bourgade has been the biggest blessing in my life because it has given me an education and the opportunity to keep learning… something I once thought I would never get to have again. "

"For many families, it is simply not financially possible to give their children the best education. I know I would have never had the opportunity to attend Brophy if it weren’t for the generosity of donors who contributed to the Brophy Community Foundation. Supporting the Brophy Community Foundation allows students, like myself, to receive an amazing education that will give them the ability to pursue their own aspirations and become leaders for the future."
