Nelson De Los Santos '18 appointed to the Brophy Community Foundation Board

Nelson de los Santos joins the Brophy Community Foundation as its newest board member. Nelson's background in government at the state and local level, involvement with low-income communities, and work with youth makes him an asset to the BCF board of directors.

Nelson is one of the many students whose life has been transformed as a result of the Foundation’s tax credit tuition aid program. Nelson's addition to the BCF board will provide invaluable insight as we continue to strengthen our mission to provide educational options to all of Arizona’s k-12 students.

BCF Internship Program Expands for 2024 - 2025

Students who receive tuition aid from the Brophy Community Foundation have the opportunity to serve as interns for the foundation. They can learn about running a non-profit organization, assist in marketing efforts, raise awareness of the program and aid in our fundraising efforts. In the past school year, 19 Brophy Seniors participated in the program. These students wrote blog stories, spoke to parent groups, and visited corporate donors for career exploration. We have 36 students interested and committed to working for BCF as interns for the upcoming school year. We are also introducing leadership positions. If your company is interested in connecting with juniors and seniors who have received BCF tuition aid, please contact Laura at lgiesecke@brophyprep.org or 602-264-5291 ex 6521 for partnership opportunities.

Use your company’s Arizona liability to give back to our community!

The corporate cycle for FY 25 is now officially open, and we are adding companies to participate in Round 1 of the process. This year, $166,690,547 is available for corporations to utilize as a tax credit. It's a first-come, first-served situation for round 1, and all submissions are due by July 1st. Click here to fill out the corporate form.

If you have any questions or need assistance, contact Dawn Kennedy at dkennedy@brophyprep.org or 602-264-5291 ex. 6500.

Let's continue to support our mission of providing tuition aid to the students who need it most. Your participation in the corporate cycle makes a world of difference in their lives.

Additionally, if your company would like to contribute before July, there is $41,593,293 remaining in the FY24 cap.

BEYOND ‘THE ALCHEMIST’: BCF INTERN, ANGEL, FINDS HIS PATH THROUGH DIVINE CONNECTIONS

Throughout our journey in life, there are moments when two paths cross and create an incredible impact on our lives. In the book “The Alchemist,” Paulo Coelho explains the importance of these moments and describes them as ‘Divine Connections.’ These divine connections are moments that guide us on the right path and, in the end, create a beautiful constellation. So far in my life, I’ve been blessed with numerous divine connections, with the Brophy Community Foundation being one of them.
