A Successful Kickoff for the Brophy Community Foundation Internship Program

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Brophy Community Foundation internship program! Earlier this week, BCF held an event at the Meadowbrook House and brought together a fantastic group of 35 enthusiastic Brophy College Prep junior and senior students, all beneficiaries of BCF’s tuition aid.

The evening was packed with valuable learning opportunities. Students participated in a comprehensive workshop covering essential topics like taxes, tax credits, Student Tuition Organizations, BCF’s mission, and the current STO landscape.

Additionally, Jim Welty ’14 (Faculty, Social Studies Department | Head Coach, Speech & Debate) offered insightful guidance on public speaking, while Jonathan Londoño ’10 (Student Outreach & Advocacy, Office of Equity and Inclusion | Freshman Advisor) led an exercise on developing impactful pitches, and was instrumental in planning this first retreat.

The student’s active participation and eagerness to learn throughout the evening were impressive. Their eagerness to acquire knowledge and contribute to BCF’s success was truly inspiring.
